Vintage OMEGA SUVERAN Ref. 2400/6

Omega SUVERAN is said to have been produced by Omega at the request of the Swedish government in the 1930s and 1940s. The 35mm diameter case has an all-stainless screw back structure, and is a model that has a reputation for its solid construction. The dial is two-tone white. This year's sports watch often changes colors like the bullseye, but the different finishes give it a different look. The indexes are luminous all-Arabic. The blued steel hands are also generously coated with luminous.
The installed movement is the Cal.30 series, which has made OMEGA a global brand. Needless to say, this excellent machine was made with the simple intention of accommodating the largest possible balance and achieving high precision. After OMEGA announced this movement, it had a great influence on other manufacturers, and calibers with the same diameter as 30 mm and large balance were paid homage one after another.
The case feels used, but there is no major damage. Light scratches on the back of the case. Great tropic patina on the dial. The edges of the bezel and lugs are solid. The dial shows some aging, but considering the model year, it is quite beautiful. The hands and luminance are perfect. Blue steel leaves a deep blue color well, and you can enjoy a rich combination with a dark beige color luminous. In the 1940s, stainless steel was a luxury material and many watches used brass plating. It is a masterpiece that shows Omega's ingenuity, which was built at great cost to protect it from water and shock.
